Mr. Dhanesh Kumar(45 years) was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis (a rarest of rare disease) and was under treatment in Amritha Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre, Kochi. .Mr.Dhanesh was also married to one among us ,a Bhavans Vidya Mandir Girinagar alumni and our classmate.The funds had to be raised for a cell transplantation which was the only way to save his life. His son, just 4 years old was waiting for his father to be back home. PinkShield reached out to as many people as possible,using all channels we could.We were able to raise a substantial amount of 5 lakhs to enable the operation of Mr. Dhanesh.But destiny had other plans.We lost him.The money was transferred to his wife and the money was put to good use in clearing the hospital dues.
